Iron Man 2 Review

So yesterday I got to see Iron man 2 early at an employee screening. These are pretty much my thoughts on the film. Overall, it wasn't quite as good as the first, but it came very close to it. The story overall was very good, even if they tried to cram a bit too much in, and it could be a little convoluted at times. Don't get me wrong, it definitely wasn't like spider-man 3, which threw so much at the viewer that it didn't even feel like a spider-man movie, and wasn't even a good movie overall. It works mainly through the awesome action sequences and the solid acting from RDJ, Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell, even if Downey Jr's fast talking wit through his eccentric "character" can be a little confusing at some points. I thought Rourke was especially good in the movie. In conclusion, I do think that the end was a little too anticlimactic, with the final battle coming to an end very quickly, but overall the Iron Man 2 was a great comic book movie sequel. What I especially enjoyed were all of the nods to the upcoming superhero franchises as well as the inclusion of Nick Fury who's job in the movie is essentially to set up the Avengers film coming out in 2012. Also be sure to stay after the credits for another sweet teaser setting up the next Avengers character film.
