So today is February first, and with February comes black history month, and Valentines day, but those aren't important right now. What is important is that the final season of Lost begins tomorrow. My excitement for this final season has been at fever pitch for some time now. In early December I began re-watching the series from season 1 to season 5, thinking it would take me long enough to fill the gap of time right up to the season 6 premiere. Sadly, I finished it at the end of December, because I just didn't feel like taking long breaks in between episodes. Anyone who watches the show can tell you that watching "just one episode" is impossible with this program. I will try to write this next part without spoiling any plot details, for those poor souls which are not yet on board.
For everyone who watches Lost, thinking about what will even be happening on tomorrow's premiere is a mystery. What year will they be in? Who will be alive? Will they even be in the same universe? This is a large mystery that we KNOW will be answered tomorrow, regardless of all the other loose ends the creators still have to tie up. Those loose ends though, are what really have me waiting with anticipation for this season. Though the more I think about it, the less I believe the writers are going to reveal to us by the final frames of this show. Because sometimes, our imaginations and what we can create in our minds are far greater ideas than anything a television show, even one as great as Lost, would think to pursue. But Part of me thinks that with this new season, will come answers. Ones that we have never thought of previously, and can actually satisfy our curiosities. Nothing will be clear until about 18 weeks from now, when the last episode airs, but all I know is that the next few months are gonna be one wild ride.
